TUL Foundation, in collaboration with BYCS India, organised a Design Charette as part of the CYCLE2SCHOOL initiative by Surat Smart City Limited. The event was conducted during the National Workshop on Streets & Public Spaces held on 26th and 27th October 2023 in Srinagar, building upon the ongoing pilot project in Surat.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required for developing child-friendly and safe street infrastructure. It focused on fostering an understanding of the mobility needs and experiences of students, residents and local communities while encouraging collaborative approaches to street design and implementation. The Design Charette also enabled participants to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders involved in the program, including civic agencies, schools and community groups.
