TUL Foundation, in collaboration with Centre for Environment Education (CEE) and Gujarat Road Safety Authority (GujRoSA), hosted a multi-stakeholder workshop focused on developing Gujarat’s State Road Safety Action Plan. The workshop brought together government departments, experts, academic institutions and civil society organisations to discuss strategies for reducing road crash fatalities in the state by 50% by 2030 through the Safe Systems Approach. Experts from Rajasthan, Punjab and Indian Institute of Technology Madras shared experiences, interventions and policy approaches from their respective states and institutions to strengthen Gujarat’s roadmap towards safer roads.
Outcomes
- Facilitated multi-stakeholder discussions on Gujarat’s State Road Safety Action Plan with participation from government agencies, experts and civil society organisations.
- Emphasised the importance of data-driven planning and prioritisation of interventions to reduce road crash fatalities.
